Throughout the spring semester, I’ve been thinking about what direction I’d like to take this blog in. I haven’t fully decided, and I don’t plan to until summer comes and I can devote more time to the blog. I don’t want to completely abandon talking about eating disorders, but I want to dabble in other areas as well. Fashion posts are one of those areas, and despite the fact that it is not quite summer yet, I thought I’d kick off the experimenting with an outfit of the day post.

Prom was a little over a week ago, and as I’m sure everyone knows, your prom dress and your wedding dress are like the dresses. You spend a ton of money on a dress you’re going to wear for one night (well, I, for one, am definitely planning on re-wearing my prom dress– no shame), and that’s just the way the tradition goes.
I’ve dubbed this look “Grecian Chic.” The dress has a Grecian/boho vibe to it with the bodice rouching, high waist, and flowing skirt. Pearls added an air of elegance to the look, and white ballet flats meant that even after dancing the night away, my feet hadn’t complained once. Finishing the look off is a soft up-do with some braids thrown in for good bohemian measure.

So, I’m somewhat in love with your dress… Like literally everything about it. And I was just wondering where you got it. Everywhere I look everything is too (I know know the word… Frilly? And shiny). I probably wouldn’t get like the same dress obviously but I was just wondering if you had any suggestions of where to look

Yeah, totally! I found that too. I’m not a big fan of shimmer and sparkle and all of that. Mom found this place called BHLDN (we found out that it’s
meant to be pronounced Beholden) kind’ve randomly online in her searching. It’s actually a bridal shop (affiliated with Anthropologie I think), but I loved their bridesmaid dresses. You could check David’s Bridal too. I know a lot of girls who found their dresses there. They have prom dresses there, but you could probably request looking at their bridesmaid dresses. BHLDN’s website is linked under the last picture in the post. (:

Thank you so much! I will look! It doesn’t help that prom is in 17 days but I am a junior and was asked last minute haha.
Btw I love both your blog and your Instagram:)

You can buy off the rack at BHLDN, but if you need it altered, you’ll probably need a week. I think you’ll be able to pull it off! and have fun at prom!
